Daniel HoweIt was in the year 1880 that Daniel Howe led to the marriage altar Kate Waters, a resident of Canada. Seven children have graced this union: Henrietta, Joseph, Harry, Mary, Agnes, Paul and Retta. Mr. Howe was for a number of years a democrat, but has lately become independent in his political sentiments. He holds himself free to support whomever he pleases regardless of party ties, and always votes for the man whom he thinks best qualified to fill the position. For ten years he has been township trustee. The cause of education finds in him a warm friend and while serving as treasurer of the board of education did effective service in its interests. He is an influential citizen and one who believes in making his farm do honor to the township and county in which he lives. He has not only looked to the material benefits of his place, but has set out all the shade and fruit trees, and the neat appearance of his farm indicates his careful individual management and the thorough supervision of its owner. |
