1907 Past and Present Biographies
C. B. BowmanC. B. Bowman was educated in the public schools, having graduated from the high school at Coon Rapids. Though a very young man at that time, he secured a school in Carroll county and was a most efficient teacher for several years. He was thought much of at Coon Rapids and was appointed assistant postmaster of that place, serving in that ofllce for two years. In order to supplement his early education and prepare for the profession in which he had always been interested, he entered the law department at the University of Michigan, from which he was graduated in 1906. Shortly after this he became connected with the Des Moines Telephone Company but in March came to Scranton, where he began the practice of law. He has so far exercised his right of franchise in support of the men and measures of the republican party and is active in assisting in its campaigns. He is a well known member of the Masonic lodge, in which he takes great interest. Though but twenty-six years of age, Mr. Bowman has not only acquired a splendid preparation for life in an educational way but has had practical experience both in political oflice and in business, so that he starts out in the practice of law with more than an ordinary equipment. His practice thus far has given promise of a brilliant future arid he is even now ranked as one of the most enterprising young men of Scranton. |
