Arthur A. Arnold

Arthur A. Arnold, who since 1881 has been a resident of Greene county, owns and cultivates a good tract of land in Dawson township and, realizing the fact that diligence is the basis of prosperity, he has worked persistently and along practical lines.  His birth occurred in the city of Chicago on the 17th of July, 1865.

His father, Jacob Arnold, was a native of Alsace, France, born in the year 1838.  He was of Swiss ancestry and in his early boyhood was left an orphan by the death of his parent.  At the age of fourteen years he came alone to the United States to live with his grandmother.
