Country Tub Thumping by John Field "The true mark of a man is sometimes evident at his funeral. Such was the case with Walt Williams. A cross section of Hamburg was present to pay respect to quite a remarkable person.
He knew almost everyone, was liked and respected by almost everyone. Those who hunted with Walt, or fished with him, or were fortunate enough to do business with him, will be hard pressed to find his equal.
Hamburg has lost its best gardener, and one of its most staunch supporters."
