Funeral services for Henry Vernon Weight were Monday (June 1, 1959) afternoon at King community church with Rev. Harvey Miller officiating.

Singers were Mrs. Donald Douglass and Mrs. Darrell Vanatta, Accompanied by Mrs. Blanche Dalton, Pallbearers were Dale Forney, Chester Forney, Emil Hillhouse, Lyle Hillhouse, Bernard Study and John Howery. In charge of Flowers were Judy Hill, Sandra Pierce, Diana Study and LaVonne Hillhouse.

The Reeves funeral home was in charge .  Interment was in the Thurman cemetery with military rites at the grave conducted by the Edwin Todd Post No. 28, American Legion.

Henry Veron Weight, son of Henry Ward Weigh and Lottie Viola Pierce, was born October 16,1922 at Thurman and passed away May 29,1959 at Veteran's hospital Lincoln,Nebraska where he had been as a patient for the past year and 7 months at the age of 36.

He lived all his life in and around Thurman and Bartlett and attended Bartlett schools.
