Funeral services for Mrs. Ida B. Turner, 91, whose death occurred on Oct 7, 1971 at St. Luke’s hospital in Kansas City, Mo., were held on Oct 11 at 2 p.m. at the Tabor Church of the Nazarene with the Revs Irving Mitchell of Tabor and Paul Glenn of Kansas City officiating.
The pallbearers were Eber Brandt, Merle Melton, Leonard Worcester, Dennis Ward, David Freed and Leon Smay. In charge of the flowers were Mrs. Merrill Brandt and Mrs. Eber Brandt, Mrs. Leonard Worchester was in charge of the memorial book. Mrs. Merle Melton was the organist, and the singers were Mr. and Mrs. Leon Smay, Mr. and Mrs. David Freed and Raymond Turner.
Born near Monroe, Ia., Mrs. Turner had been a resident of Tabor the greater part of her life. She is survived by two sons; Ivan of Sioux City and Howard of Rossville, Ga.; three daughters, Mrs. Bruce Mitchell of Winona Lake, Ind., Mrs. John Kerns of Gillette, Wyo., Mrs Duane Forsberg of Raytown, Mo.; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, one brother, Oscar Gooden of Minnesota and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Carr of California.
Interment was in the Tabot cemetery with the Crawford Reeves funeral home in charge.
