SIDNEY ARGUS - HERALD
August 6, 1936

"Percival News".--Her many friends here were saddened to learn last Friday that Mrs. Susan C. McBeth had passed away at her home in McCook, Nebraska. The body was brought back here to be laid to rest beside her husband, Dennis McBeth in Blanchard cemetery, he having preceded her in death on June 23, 1923.

Susan C. Laymon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burr Laymon, was born March 6, 1877, in Saline county, Nebraska, where she grew to womanhood. On March 6, 1895 she was married to Dennis McBeth at Geneva, Nebraska, later moving to this community where they lived until his death. Six years ago she moved to McCook with her family of grown children, where she has since lived and made many friends. She had been ill for several weeks but through it all was a patient sufferer.

She leaves to mourn her passing five children all of whom were here for the funeral service held at the home of her oldest daughter, Mrs. Robert Reed, on Saturday afternoon,. Other children are Mrs. George Carfield, Marion, Nebraska, and Misses Bernice and Florence and one son Ivan, the three latter still at home.

She also leaves one brother, Andy Laymon of Danbury, Nebraska.

The sympathy of their many friends here is extended the sorrowing family.
