Mrs. Henrietta Knappe Dies of Pneumonia

Again the angel of death has invaded our neighborhood and another pioneer is numbered with the vast majority Mrs. Henrietta Winkler Knappe died at her home north of this city Tuesday,
March 2, 1909, at the age of 77 years, 5 months, 14 days, after a sickness of but a little over a week.
The death of Mrs. Knappe breaks up the last home of the once prosperous and happy colony of pioneers in what
is known as Germany, so we are informed. We are unable at this time to give much of an account of her life, farther than she came to the county from Germany in the early days and has always been ready to lend a helping hand to do good work and was loved and respected by her neighbors.
She is survived by her aged husband and a large family of children. The funeral service is to be held at the Methodist church in this city this afternoon at 2 o'clock
