~~~~ Ava Catherine Holt 1887 1952

Ava Katherine, daughter of Calloway and Margaret Holt. Was born August 8, 1887 in Riverton Ia and died May 28, 1952 at the age of 64 years. She attended Riverton school when a girl and her entire life was spent in the Riverton community.She was a charter member of the Church of Christ and held in respect by all who knew her.

She was preceeded in death by her parents and one sister Sadie and one brother William. Those who survive are two sisters Mrs Laura Perkins and Mrs Sylvia Perkins of Riverton. Three nephews, George W, William L and Lawrence G of the US Army in Korea.

Funeral rites were held at the Church of Christ on Saturday morning May 31 by Clarence Potter of Sidney and interment was at the local cemetery. Music was furnished by Mrs Louis Barnes Jr and Mrs Marvin Eggers accompanied at the piano by Mrs N. N. Notson
