BORN IN HAMBURG IN 1838.
The body of Mrs. Nancy E. Findley, possibly the oldest citizen of Hamburg, was brought here Saturday from Fullerton for burial at Mt. Olive cemetery. We doubt very much if there is another person living who can near approach the record of Mrs. Findley.
Nancy E. Findley was born in Hamburg, February 14, 1838 and died at Fullerton, Nebr., February 24, 1932, aged 94 years and 10 days. She was united in marriage to Samuel Findley on March 15, 1856, he having preceded her in death nineteen years ago. They moved to Fullerton in 1889, where Mr. Findley was in business until his death.
Mrs. Findley joined the Baptist church in early life, and lived a consistent life. She leaves to mourn one sister, Mrs. Sarah Chaney of Riverton and one brother, N. W. Iler of Des Moines and a number of nephews and nieces. One niece, Mrs. Sarah E. Hamilton cared for her during the weeks of her sickness.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Johnson Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. G. W. Kitchen, and interment was made in Mt. Olive
Cemetery.
