MRS.BERTHA DAVISSON DIED TUESDAY EVENING - - The sudden death of Mrs. Bertha Davisson at the Hamburg Hospital Tuesday night was a shock to the many friends of the family in this community. She had submitted to an operation for gall stones and appendicitis on Monday and it was thought that she was making splendid progress for recovery. During Tuesday evening her heart action became serious and she died at ten o'clock that night.

Bertha Fritz was born in Germany, Dec 1, 1873 and came to this country at the age of five years. Her parents settled in Fremont County and she spent the balance of her life near Hamburg and in Page County.

She was married on August 14, 1804, to August Werner and to this union six children were born, three boys and three girls. One child died in infancy; Mr. Werner passed away on June 4, 1907. On December 9, 1910, she was married to Ed Davisson. To this union one daughter, Bertha Margaret, was born. Mrs. Davisson lived for the past twenty-five years on a farm north of Hamburg.

She took sick one week ago Sunday, and on last Monday she was taken to the Hamburg Hospital and was operated upon that afternoon. She died at the hospital Tuesday, April 3, 1928, at 10:10 p.m. She was 54 years, 3 months, and 29 days old at the time of her death.

At the age of sixteen years she joined the Evangelical Church and was always a faithful member of that congregation. She was ever honest, and a diligent worker and a good mother to her children. She always took an active part in the affairs of her church and community and her death will be keenly felt by all.

She leaves to mourn her departure the children, Carl Werner, George A Werner, Mrs. Lawrence Baker, Mrs. Albert Propp, Ruth Elda Werner, Bertha Margaret Davisson, all of Hamburg; two sisters, Mrs. Will Driever of Hamburg and Mrs. Amelia Minor of Brock, Nebraska; one brother, Carl A.
