Eva Belle (Mattice) Buxton

Graveside services were held October 18 at the Linden Cemtery near Rock Port, MO, for Eva (Mattice Holland Buxton, 90, of Hamburg, IA, and her late husband Harvey J. Buxton. Pastor Blaine Pritchett officiated. Mrs. Buxton died October 10, 2014, at The Ambassador Sidney.
Memorials are directed to the Hamburg Rescue Unit. Rash-Gude Funeral Home in Hamburg was in charge of the arrangements.
Eva Belle Buxton was born on July 1, 1924 in Phelps City, MO; the daughter of Roy and Cora (Bales) Mattice. She attended school at the Hamburg Schools. She was married to Cecil Holland On May 16, 1942, at Rock Port, MO, and to this union one son Gary was born in 1943. Later on January 19, 1967, she married Harvey Buxton at Lincoln, NE.
She worked at Interstate Nursery and Pendleton Wollen Mills until she had a stoke in August of 1978.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harvey; brothers William and Chester Mattice; and sisters Helen Howell and Gladys Dimmitt.
She is survived by her son Gary Holland and wife Shirley of Hamburg, IA; four grandchildren: Tina Flint, Christina Holland, Marty Holland an Mindy Holland; six great-grandchildren: Alex Flint, Blake Holland, Ashton Richards, Wrigley Holland, Aiden Richards and Lilly Holland; nieces nephews, other family and friends.
Memorials may be given to the Hamburg Rescue.
