Edward Carmack Booker, who died at Grape Community Hospital, Hamburg, Nov. 1, was born in Hawkins Co., Tenn. He was born Oct. 14, 1901. He was one of a family of 12 brothers and sisters,
four of whom are living, Walter Booker, Leah McLain, Edith Johnson and Leslie Cowell.
On. Aug. 16, 1919 he was married to Miss Ethel Melear and to this union 3 sons and four daughters were born, Carl Booker, Donald Booker and James Booker, Stella, Thelma and Maxine and one daughter,
Edna who has died. He was employed at the Ford plant in Detroit for 22 years and had only retired a short time ago, coming back to Farragut where his wife had maintained the home raising the family
in a small community.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Congregational Church with Rev. McCallam officiating. Burial was in Farragut Cemetery and Masonic services were held by the Farragut order.
