James Baker, resident for more than twenty years, died at home on Shunick farm northwest of this city last Tuesday night. Death was caused by lung fever for which he had suffered only one week. Funeral services were at the McIntyre Schoolhouse yesterday and the remains were interred in the Singleton cemetery.
His wife and four children, youngest about ten years old, are left to mourn. Two daughters are married, one living at her father's place and the other near Anderson. He formerly lived near Thurman, moving to Shunick farm last March.
