Slusher Cemetery
(Washington Township)
(Section 8, Twp. 68, Range 42)

Source: "Fremont County Cemetery Book", recorded by Barney & Wade Smith.
The name of Slusher comes from the son of Eli Slusher, who lived north around the bluff from Hamburg, as early as 1847. Eli died on August 12, 1854 and is buried in the cemetery which bears his name. The cemetery is south of the State Park and just off the bluff road, on private land. It is located on a knoll about a quarter of a mile east of the farm buildings on the Jack Good farm. It is nicely maintained, clean and with about a dozen stones still standing.
