Lacy Grove Cemetery was named for Captain George Lacy (c1792-1867), who made a cash entry for the land on July 12, 1853. Captain Lacy was a veteran of the War of 1812. It is not known if any of Captain Lacy's family is buried in Lacy Grove. A few of the burials here are as follows:
