WEIBEL -- MEALEY -------------- |
Cards have been received which announce the marriage of Miss Bertha
Weibel to Jerome A. Mealey, the ceremony having taken place at
Fairbank, Wednesday, November 10 and the young couple will be at
home in that city after December 1. We have none of the particulars
of the happy event further than those mentioned above. Miss Weibel
is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Weibel of our city and until a
couple of years ago was one of Elgin's accomplished and popular
young ladies. Her brother E.A. Weibel engaged in business in
Fairbank, and Miss Weibel went there for a visit, secured a position
and has made her home at Fairbank for some time. There she met Mr.
Mealey and the friendship soon ripened into love and the wedding
ceremony of yesterday was a fitting culmination to the courtship.
Miss Weibel has a host of friends in this city, where she has spent
most of her life, who will wish her much happiness and joy as she
assumes her new relations. The groom is not an entire stranger to
our people as he has visited here on different occasions and has
made many friends. He is a young business man and has the respect
and esteem of all who know him.
The ECHO extends
congratulations and best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Mealey. |
