LOCALS 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith, Pleasant Valley, New York, are visiting relatives here. A dinner was held Sunday for the Smith's in the Richard Smith home in Fayette. Present were Major and Mrs. Leo Olesen, Bobby and Beckey; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Olesen, West Union; Mr. and Mrs. Guernsey Smith and grandsons, Kevin, Shane and Eric Smith of Elgin; Mrs. A. J. Fox and Mrs. Nellie Collier of Fayette.

ENTERTAINED

Mrs. A. J. Fox and J. F. Collier were hostesses at a party for Major and Mrs. Leo Olesen, at noon Monday, at Lucy's Garden of Eat'en. Other guests included:  Mr. and Mrs. Guernsey Smith of Elgin, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Smith and Maurice of Fayette, and Mrs. Helen Olson of West Union.

Major and Mrs. Olesen left Wednesday for northern Maine, where he will be stationed.
