Services Friday for Mrs. J. D. Parker

Funeral services for Mrs. J. D. Parker will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. from the Belles-Wright Funeral home in Fayette.

Mrs. Parker died Tuesday, Oct. 31, at her home in Baltimore, Md.

 

Nellie Klemme Parker was born March 10, 1871. She came to fayette at the age of 19 to attend Upper Iowa University. She was the only survivor of the class of 1890. After graduating from Upper Iowa she studied musics in Boston and later taught music in Missouri.

 

In 1892 she was united in marriage to Dr. James D. Parker and spent her life in Fayette until two years ago when she went to Balitmore, Md.

 

Survivors include three children:  Dr. Hugh K. Parker of Glen Ridge, N.J.; Mrs. Galen C. Goebels (Dorothy), of Lakeland, Fla.; and Mrs. Robert Fox (Eleanor) of Baltimore, Md.
