Shakespeare Club Met Thrusday,
October 10
The Shakespeare club opened its fortieth year
of activity on October 10th, with a luncheon at the home of the
Presidnet, Mrs. H. H. Root. Fifteen members served themselves at a
buffet arranged by the Committee.
The afternoon's entertainment consisted of an
excellend review of "Doctors East, Doctors West" by Edward Hume,
M.D. presente dby Mrs. F. B. Claxton. Mr. Frank Parten, Professor
of Piano at the University, presented two numbers, prefaced by a
human interest discussion of cicumstances surrounding their
composition.
Mrs. A. J. Fox will be hostess at a guest day
on October 24th. Mrs. Margaret Jayne Collett will present "Beach
Red," by Peter Bowman.

Mrs. A. J. Fox will be hostess this afternoon
at the Shakespeare Club guests day. Mrs. Margaret Jayne Collett will
present "Beach Red" by Peter Bowman.
Mrs. A. J. Fox and Miss Elizabeth Meyer were
hostesses at a dinner Sunday at Hoetel Mealey [?] in Oelwein. The
company included eleven guests.
