I Beniemino Antonio Giannizzeri aged 33 years, occupation Carpenter, do declare on oath that my personal description is: Color: white, complexion Dark, height 5 feet 9 1/2 inches, weight 160 pounds, color of hair Black, color of eyes Brown, other visible marks soar on chin.  I was born in Nervesa, Italy,  on the 22nd day of August, anno Domini 1889; I now reside at No. 321 First Ave, South, Oelwein, Iowa.  I emigrated to the United States of America from Havre, Italy, on the vessel La Lorainne, of the French Line.; my last foreign residence was Nervesa, Italy; I am married.  The name of my wife is Angela Giannizzeri; she was born at Nervesa, Italy and now resides at No. 321 First Ave, South, Oelwein, Iowa.  It is my bona fide intention to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, and particularly to Victor Emmanuel 3rd King of Italy, of whom I am now a subject: I arrived at the port of New York, in the State of New York, on or about the 23rd day of December, anno Domini 1913; I am not an anarchist; I am not a polygamist nor a believer in the practice of polygamy; and it is my intention in good faith to become a citizen of the United States of America and to permanently reside therein SO HELP ME GOD.

.. Honorable the District Court of Fayette County at West Union, Iowa. The petition of Beniemino Antonio Giannizzeri hereby files, respectfully showeth;
First.  My place of residence is 321 1st ave. S.E., Oelwein, Iowa
Second.   My occupation is Coach Carpenter
Third.   I was born on the 22 day of August, anno Domini 1889, at Nervesa, Italy,
Fourth.   I emigrated to the United States from Navre, Italy, on or about the 13 day of December Domini 1913, and arrived in the United States, at the port of New York, on the 21st day of December Domini 1913, on the vessel La Lorraine.
Fifth.   I declared my intention to become a citizen of the United States on the 4th day of October anno Domini 1922, West Union, Iowa, in the District Court of Fayette County
Sixth.  I am married. My wife's name is Angela, she was born on the 24th day of April, anno Domini 1894.
  I have 3 children, and the name, date, and place of birth, and place of residence of each of said children is as follows:

July 13, 1916, at Oelwein, Ia, resides in Oelwein, Ia.
Rosi  Giula, born
Dec. 21, 1918 at Oelwein, Ia, resides in Oelwein, Ia.
Gilda Fiorenda, born Apr. 7, 1921, at Oelwein, Ia, resides in Oelwein, Ia. 
Seventh.  I am not a disbeliever in or opposed to organized government or a member of or affiliated with any organization or body of persons teaching disbelief in or opposed to organized government.  I am not a polygamist nor a believer in the practice of polygamy.  I am attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and it is my intention to become a citizen of the United States and to renounces absolutely and forever all allegiances and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, and particularly to Victor Emmanuel III King of Italy of whom at this time I am a subject, and it is my intention to reside permanently in the United States.
Eighth.  I am able to speak the English Language.
Ninth.  I have resided continuously in the United States of America for the term of five years at least immediately preceding the date of this petition, to wit, since the 23 day of December, anno Domini 1913, and in the State of Iowa continuously next preceding the date of this petition, since the 25 day of December, anno Domini 1913, being a residence within this State of at least one year next preceding the date of this petition.
Tenth.  I have not heretofore made petition for citizenship to any court.
 
Attached hereto and made a part of this petition are my declaration of intention to become a citizen of the United States and the certificate from the Department of Labor, together with my affidavits of the two verifying witnesses thereto, required by law.  Wherefore your petitioner prays that he may be admitted a citizen of the United States of America.

Both being severally, duly, and respectively sworn, deposes and says that he is a citizen of the United States of America; that he has personally known Beniemino Giannizzeri, the  petitioner above mentioned, to have resided in the United States continuously ...lately preceding the date of filing his petition, since the 1st day of January anno Domini 1921, and in the State in which the above ... d petition is made continuously since the 1st day of January anno Domini 1920, and that he has personal knowledge that sais petitioner is a person of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and that the petitioner is in every way qualified in his  desire to be admitted a citizen of the United States.
