Bloomfield Democrat 1/23/51 NOTICE WABASH RAILROAD COMPANY hereby gives notice that on the 21st day of December 1950 it filed with the interstate Commerce Commission, at Washington, D.C., an application for a certificate of public convenience and necessity permitting abandonment of that portion of the Ottumwa Branch line of railroad extending from a point .3 miles east of its Moulton station to a point 1.5 miles south of the joint station at Ottumwa. approximatley 34.2 miles, all in Appanoose, Davis & Wapello counties, Iowa. Finance docket No 17184 and on the same day Finance docket No 17185 it applies for authority to jointly use certain tracks of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific railroad company extending from Moravia to Ottumwa. Abandonment was protested, by the Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce and withdrawn by the Wabash officials |
