27.   John Ruskin told of his travels and about the Eskimos.  Science classes visit the condensory.
 

MARCH

March, spring fever, measles, mumps

And tonsilitis rage;

We banish German from the school

And a Thrift Stamp campaign wage.

4.   Ball game with soldiers.
5.   Accident in laboratory.  Della went down.  What happened to Irene's hat?  Ask her chum?
6.   Milton doesn't favor a law against poker.
7.   William McCartan caught making faces at the Freshmen.  Ten boys left for Indianola.
8.   New bunch of measles.
11.   No more German.  The pupils begin to look beyond the Germans to the stars.
12.   Cantata.  Afternoon and evening performance.  John uses his new supply of lemons.
13.   Some classes can be trusted; others cannot.
14.   Miss Heighshoe wanders around with a bucket in her hand.
15.   Rex is wearing glasses.
18.   Another fever raging - "spring fever."
19.   Wava K. made a resolution.  She said, "I am never going to teach school for fear the older boys will fall in love with me."
20.   Irene Bell is back at school after having the measles, la grippe and tonsilitis.
21.   Seniors have moonlight picnic.
25.   Girls begin basketball class series.  Mr. Trueblood resigns.
26.   Miss Hinshaw resigns.
27.   Class series end with Juniors first and Seniors second.
28.   Supt. announces the provisions that have been made for the boys to work on the farm.
29.   Mr. Reynolds is washing windows to earn a quarter for a Thrift Stamp.
 

APRIL

April - the medley month for us

As well as weather men.

Four-minute contests, and Girls' League,

And tennis games again.

1.   Teacher are presented with fruit?
2.   Basketball boys have to have pictures taken over.  The photographer took it over the teachers' picture and ruined the boys' picture.
3.   "Four-Minute Talk" contest.  Our class president was chosen Junior four-minute speaker.
4-9.   Spring vacation.
9.   Mrs. Frank now has charge of P. H. S. music
10.   English classes are writing poetry.
11.   Leroy F. tagged - No. 34.  Astronomy classes are star-gazing this afternoon.
12.   Clifford W., Snich and Capen enlist.
15.   Scarcity of boys - they have filled up the farmers' rank.
