November.  All the girls adopt

The uniforms of blue;

The box supper's a great success,

And the teachers have a party, too.

5.   Girls appear in their uniforms.  Miss Heightshow calls them bluebirds.
6.   Big pep meeting.
7.   New trophy cup.  Old one wears the purple and gold.  Box social.  Boys cam with pockets full; they leave $70.
8.   This is the day after the night before.  Tired!  Walter Edmondson enlists in the navy.
9.   "Moving" man told us how movies are made.
10.   Newton beat Perry 76-6.
12.   Wm. McCarton dons long trousers.
13.   Group of girls work at Red Cross rooms.
15.   Perry All-Stars vs. Camp Dodge soldiers.  Proceeds to Red Cross.
16.   Coon Rapids vs. Perry - 6-0, favor of Perry.
19.   Senior girls entertain the boys at home of Ivy F.
23.   Teachers have a party.  Coon Rapids cancelled the game.  Wonder why?
26.   It snows; snowballing in classroom.  Milton hit Ivyl.
28.   Talk by Rev. Searcy.
29.   Vacation!
     
DECEMBER

December, month of Christmas time

And time for basketball;

The teachers bar our class parties,

Though it doesn't faze us at all.

4.   Milton is anxious to secure Lydia's weight.  Perhaps it will take more than a 500-gram weight to balance.
5.   The General Science pupils are keeping tab on the weather.
7.   Rev. Bishop addresses us.
10.   Rule 5,673:  Teachers will attend no more class parties during the week except Friday.  Basketball season starts.  Interclass games.
11.   Edward S. decides he is a machine.  Must be the sixth form.  Misses Hinshaw, Tilton and McCullough attend the "Wise Boob" last night.  It was Tuesday.
13.   Miss Heightshoe and Prof. Mahannah left for Iowa City to attend institute.  P.H.S. is now principal-less and superintendent-less.
14.   Loyaline Fike and Loras McGrady have a new one, the "chicken pox."
15.   Senior class party at Rex Purviance's.  One carload lost the way, but they had William F. along.
18.   Prof. Mahannah addresses H. S. on war conditions.  Senior German class auction off some books.  Proceeds given to Red Cross, $2.00.
19.   Girls play basketball and Helen Hambright gets it on the head.
21.   Program of Christmas stories and music.  Many questions by time H. S. people as to whether they all must appear on the platform.  Now more school this year.
