Dorthea Zacher, Joachim Kuehl's third wife, was born in Germany December 1846. She died in 1917 and is buried in Eastside Cemetery, Elkader.

Joachim Joseph Kuehl Born August 13, 1843 in Basandtan, Germany. He died on October 27, 1931 in Littleport. Emigrated to US in 1866 with wife Mary and son Joseph to a farm near Communia, Clayton co. Joachim married 3 times. Joseph John Kuehl Son of Joachim Kuehl. Born January 24, 1864 in Strausberg, Germany. He died on September 30, 1951. Marie K. Kuehl Reimer Daughter of Joseph John Kueh. Born April 20, 1891. She died on June 19, 1990. Married Herman Theophil Reimer. Orville Carl Reimer Son of Herman T. & Marie K. (Kuehl) Reimer.
