The Schlake Farm is one mile South of Garnavillo.

This is a picture of the first Schlake house after the log cabin. Joseph and Elizabeth Schlake are probably the ones seated under the tree.

Henry Schlake is probably the one on the left leaning on the fence.

This house was later turned, an addition added to the West, and then bricked.
