Wedding Dinner for Relatives
Married at Brown Church

...A wedding dinner was served Oct. 4, at the home of Mrs. Albert Brookins, near here, for Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pierce of Batavia, Ill., who were married that morning at the Little Brown Church. The home was attractively decorated with autumn foliage.
...The groom is the nephew of Mrs. Brookins. He is also a son of the late Frank Pierce of Lawler, and grandson of the late Mrs. Charles Quaife of Ionia.
...The bride was formerly Miss Rose Hunt of Batavia. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Spiker of the Congregational church at Ionia. Attendants were Mrs. Geo. Weeks of Fort Dodge and Francis Uglum of New Hampton, cousins of the groom.
...Relatives present to witness the ceremony were Mrs. Grace Pierce of Batavia, mother of the groom; Mrs. John Uglum and family of New Hampton and Mrs. Brookins.
...Immediately after the wedding dinner at the Brookins home the couple left for Minnapolis (sic) for a short visit with friends. They returned by way of Ionia, to get his mother and went on to Batavia, where they will set up housekeeping. Mr. Pierce is managing salesman of a branch office of the Challenge Manufacturing Co.

Pierce - Pierce Nuptials

...Mrs. Nettie C. Pierce and R. U. Pierce were married at Waseca, Minn., at the M. E. parsonage, August 17, Rev. W. Kern of that place officiating.
...Mr. Pierce had spent the last 14 months with his niece and nephew in Wyoming, where he went for his health. He left Edgerton, Wyoming by auto, going 275 miles to Rapid City, S. D., where he took the train to Waseca, where he met his old neighbor and bride-to-be.
...After the wedding they returned to Nashua, where they will reside at the bride's home.
...These two worthy citizens need no introduction to the people of this community, where they have lived for many years and have always conducted themselves in an honorable, trustworthy manner. They both have many friends here who will wish them much happiness and contentment.
