LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF GEORGE W. PRESCOTT
I, George W. Prescott of Meriden, Cherokee County, Iowa, being of sound and disposing mind, make this my last will and testament.

After the payment of my just debts, I give and bequeath to my son Frank K. Prescott the sum of Five Hundred Dollars, and to Ella C. Prescott, my son's wife, I give and bequeath the sum of Five Hundred dollars.

I give and bequeath to my grandson, Fred D. Prescott the sum of Five Hundred Dollars and to my grandson Edwin Prescott I give and bequeath the sum of Five Hundred Dollars. To my granddaughter, Ella M. Patrick, I give and bequeath the sum of Five Dollars. The above legacies shall be paid within one year of the date of my decease. The remainder of my property both real and personal give, devise and bequeath to my wife Hattie J. Prescott.

I appoint my wife Hattie J. Prescott executor without bonds, of this my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have to this my last will and testament consisting of one sheet of paper subscribed my name this first day of May A. D. 1902.

We hereby certify that on this first day of May A. D. 1902 at Meriden in Cherokee County, Iowa, George W. Prescott to us personally known did in our presence sign the foregoing instrument and declare the same to be his last will and testament and we at his request and in his presence and the presence of each other do hereunto subscribe our names as his witnesses thereto.

I, Ben E. Ballou, Clerk of the District Court of the State of Iowa in and for Cherokee County, do hereby certify that the foregoing last Will and Testament of George W. Prescott, deceased, was on the 3rd day of September 1906, duly proved and admitted to probate and record in said Court in accordance with law. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said Court at my office in Cherokee, in said county, on this 3rd day of September A. D.1906.

Affidavit of Decease.
State of Iowa, Cherokee County.
I, W.  V. Andrews do solemnly swear that I was acquainted with George W. Prescott during his life time, and that he departed this life at Meriden in the State of Iowa on the 16th day of June A. D. 1906.
