Cherokee County Will Records
Last Will and Testament of Barbara Peters
Know all men: That I, Barbara Peters, of Cherokee County, Iowa, Rock Township, being of sound and disposing mind, do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking any and all wills by me at any time heretofore made.

Item I. I direct that my just debts and funeral expenses be first paid out of my estate.

Item II. All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, real, personal and mixed of every kind or nature of which I may die seized or possessed or to which
I may be entitled, I give, devise and bequeath as follows:

1. To my beloved son John Peters and my beloved daughter Mary Corzilius:

2. I give, devise and bequeath all of my property real personal and mixed of every kind and nature whatsoever, of which I may die seized or possessed or to which I may be entitled, the same to be divided between my said son John Peters and my said daughter Mary Corzilius share and share alike.

3. It is not my will that my daughters Susan Schoech, Elizabeth Jennings, Margret Bergman, and Gertrude Rederer nor the heirs at law of my son Theodore
Peters should share in my said estate.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 24th day of August A. D. 1900.

On this 24th day of August A.D. 1900, the foregoing instrument was in our presence signed and executed by Barbara Peters and by her declared to us to be her last will and testament, and at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other, we have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.

Opened, read and filed Jan 9, 1901.

Affidavit of Decease.

State of Iowa, Cherokee County.
 I, Wm. Mulvaney do solemnly swear that I was acquainted with Barbara Peters during her lifetime and that she departed this life at Rock township, Cherokee County, Iowa, in the State of Iowa,  on or about the 10th day of October A. D. 1900.
