To Mark Anniversary

ROCK FALLS - Mr. and Mrs. George Ferrier of Rock Falls will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Tuesday with open house that day at their home from 2 to 5 o'clock. A dinner will be given in their honor Sunday at the home of their daughters for immediate relatives in observance of the event.

The couple was married Jan. 28, 1891, at the United Brethren church parsonage at Pense Grove by the Rev. H. H. Pinkerton. Mr. Ferrier was born April 27, 1864, in Dodge county, Wis., and came to Iowa when he was 2 years old. Mrs. Ferrier was born Nov. 13, 1869, in Steuben county, New York state, coming to Iowa when she was 9 years old.

They lived on a farm in Worth county for 38 years and then sold the farm and bought a home in Rock Falls where they have lived the past 12 years.

Mr. and Mrs. Ferrier have 11 living children. Two died in infancy. They have 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Their children are Mrs. Roy [Ethel Odessa] Bowen of Rock Falls; Roy Ferrier, Mrs. Bob Brockett and Mrs. Archie [Grace Darling] Pascoe, all of Mason City; Mrs. John [Noma Iona] Sturm, Mrs. Dewey [Nina Beatrice] Gaskill and Pearl Ferrier of Charles City; Mrs. Ed [Leora Mae] Klein of Manly; Mrs. L. A. [Mildred Viola] Iverson of Joice; Mrs. David [Nellie Winnifred Bender of Waterloo; and Mrs. Harris [Vera Flosia] Dudley of Decatur, Ill.
