Mrs. Carlyle SHELDON, 207 Orchard avenue, Clear Lake, has received word from the war department of the U. S. that her
husband, Tech. Sgt. Carlyle SHELDON, who has been a prisoner of war in Italy since last April, has been transferred
to a permanent camp in Germany.

T-Sgt. Carlyle Sheldon Released in Germany
Clear Lake - T/Sgt. Carlyle SHELDON, who was missing in action in north Africa Feb. 17, 1943, and was later a
prisoner of war in Italy and then at Stalag B-2 in Germany, has been released and is now entroute home, it was learned
Wednesday. T/Sgt. SHELDON was wounded in action during landing operations in north Africa and in 1942 and was awarded
the purple heart. Mrs. Rollin LUSCOMB received the message Wednesday morning from Mr. and Mrs. Royal CARY, Vancouver, Wash.,
parents of Mrs. SHELDON, nee Amy Lou CARY. The CARYS are expected to return to Clear Lake later this month.

Mr. and Mrs. Leo SHELDON, Portland, Ore., are visiting at the home of the latter's brother, J. H. KING and Mrs. KING.
They are also visiting their son and daughter-in-law, T/4 and Mrs. Carlyle E. SHELDON, several days.
