Tipton Schools Begin Classes; Faculty Listed

Tipton – The Tipton Consolidated schools opened Monday for a half-day session closing at noon.

Staff members are H. C. DeKock, Superintendent; D. G. Emery, high school principal; Gertrude Himer, junior high principal; H. Dale Findley instrumental music, Cynthia Ash, vocal music; Doris Steffy, girls physical education, John R. Dickerson art; Ralph Gruenwald, vocational agriculture; Allen Rodemeyer, industrial arts; Mrs. Ruth Gustafson school nurse.

Mrs. Margaret Coddington, speech and English; Truman Manship, junior high mathematics and high school coach’ Otis A. Crozier, general science, David Gustafson boy’s physical education; Dorothy Lund, homemaking and biology; Mrs. Lois Stoneberg, homemaking and hot lunch director; Mary Ellen Squires, history, government, geography; Catherine Eddy, chemistry, physics, math; Richard Morphew, English, algebra, refresher math; Mary Walker, commercial courses.

Mary Morrisey, world history, economics, sociology; Mrs. Elleen Albaugh, English, library; Mrs. Martha Jane Henry, social sciences; Rosemary Holub and Marjorie Whitman, sixth grades; Analee Banks and Alta Mae Farringon, fifth grades; Jean Lennon and Velma Masden, fourth grades; Hazel Siem and Audrey Van Horn thir grades’ Margaret Richman and Adalaide Rands, second grades; Mrs. Louise Rismiller and Mrs. Edith Burroughs, first grades; Margaret Dallas and Kathleen Kiehl, kindergartens.

Mrs. Ralph Gruenwald will substitute for Margaret Mollison, who has been granted a leave of absence from her junior high school position. W. G. Eyestone has been employed as director of vets farm training courses.

Supt. DeKock stated that he especs enrollment to be about the same as last year when it totaled 831 students. Early enrollemtn of kindergarteners indicated that that class will be smaller this year.
