IN RECOGNITION
We wish to note herewith that much of the credit for assembling the material for this history is due Marjorie Crisman. Even though she has been retired for several years, she still gives willingly of her time and effort in the interest of Mechanicsville Public Schools.
PUBLISHERS NOTE: Despite numerous readings of the galley and press proofs of the material in this history, there are some errors we have discovered upon completion of the printing. In the early pages of historical background “Pioneer Grove” was inadvertently printed as “Pioneer Grave.”
Published by THE PIONEER PRESS, Mechanicsville, Iowa September 1, 1960.
