OUR TEACHERS
K. L. Benner—Superintendent
Fredericksburg, Iowa
Mr. Benner has headed the Clarence schools the past six years. Holds B.A. degree from Iowa Teachers and is completing M.A. work at Iowa University. Teaches Science and Coaches Girls’ Basketball.
Jean Beadle—Principal
Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Miss Beadle teaches Math. and Business Training while not looking after excuses and grades as a duty of the high school principal. She is completing her sixteenth year in the Clarence schools. She carried a B.A. at Cornell.
Miss Reinking
Clarence, Iowa
She came to Clarence three years ago after two years at Olin. Holds a B.A. from the State University and is doing graduate work there. Has charge of English and Dramatics and sponsored the organization of Playcraft Club this year.
Mr. Long
Lisbon, Iowa
Mr. Long is the Manual Training and Government teacher and Boys athletic coach. His Baseball team was his strongest forte as they won the Cedar County title for the Second consecutive year. B.A. from Cornell.
Miss Brown
Grinnell, Iowa
Miss Brown came to us with a B.S. degree from Ames and teaches home economics and eighth grade subjects. Her home is in the country and she plans on raising chickens down on the farm this summer. First year in Clarence.
Mr. Baker
Mt. Vernon, Iowa
Mr. Baker received his first teaching experience at Olin also, and is a graduate of the five year music course at Cornell. Has developed music by leaps and bounds in Clarence this year. His Boys glee club won superior rating at Subdistrict contest. As Scoutmaster of troop 190 he has won the respect of an ever increasing number of boys. First year in Clarence.

Miss Rutherford
Greeley, Iowa
Miss Rutherford teaches seventh grade and music in grades 4-5-6-7-8. She helped organize the original operetta and has a tap dancing class as her hobby. Attended I.S.T.C.
Miss Giles
Springville, Iowa
Miss Giles came from Springville after serving in the school at Urbana and Olin. She teaches Girls P.T. in grades 5-6-7. Attended I.S.T.C.
Miss Freese
Clarence, Iowa
Miss Freese attended Cornell and I.S.T.C has taught in Michigan and Cornell college. In her first year here she taught fifth grade and Junior and Senior classes in typing, a new subject in the Clarence schools this year.
Miss Engelking
Clarence, Iowa
Miss Engelking, a Cedar Falls home economics graduate has served as our fourth grade teacher for 3 ˝ years. We understand her major interests will be focused on the Stanwood community from now on. Congratulations Miss Edna, we are sorry to see you go.
Miss Ruggles
Birmingham, Iowa
Miss Ruggles, another I.S.T.C. product was new to Clarence last Sept. as the third grade teacher. She has become exceedingly interested in the Clarence situation. Improved her training by attending Saturday classes at Iowa City this year.
Miss Martin
Wilton Junction, Iowa
Miss Martin, “a three year veteran,” and Cedar Falls trained, has received just reward in being promoted to the Tipton faculty. Congratulations.
Miss Burroughs
Gilman, Iowa
Miss Burroughs followed her sister to Clarence last year and is going to be with her again at Bloomfield next fall. She graduated from Primary course at Cedar Falls.
