B. R. PLOTTS.
B. R. Plotts, the efficient manager of the Plotts-Nelson Co. Insurance Agency, was born at Russell thirty-four years ago. He was educated in the public schools of Russell, spent one year in Chariton Academy and one in Simpson college at Indianola. He commenced the insurance work in 1898 and has spent his business life in the insurance business. He was special agent, having charge of southern Iowa for two years. In February, 1908, he came to Atlantic, taking up the insurance work with Senator Bruce, remaining in charge of the Bruce agency until June 1st, 1910, when he, with M. B. Nelson, bought out the Bruce & Son agency. January 1st, 1911, the agency was incorporated under the name of Plotts-Nelson Co, Mr. Plotts becoming president. Since the organization of the Farmers Savings Bank Mr. Plotts has been the manager of the insurance agency.
Mr. Plotts has a wife and one son. Both he and his wife are active in the work of the M. E. church.
