One of the up-to-date bankers of Cass county is Wm. L. Overman, who was born in Muscatine county, Iowa on the 9th day of May, 1874. He is classed with the substantial and permanent element which is at the foundation of the prosperity and advancement of this section of the state.

Mr. Overman for the past fifteen years has been identified with the progress of this county. For a period of five years he was associated with the Oakland Savings Bank at Oakland, Pottawattamie county, occupying the position of President, and still retains his interest there. In November of 1911 he was chosen by the directors of the Iowa Trust and Savings Bank to act as Vice President and Director in this institution and the progress the bank is making is ample proof that their judgment was not amiss in giving Mr. Overman this position of trust. He is affiliated with the Masonic and K.P. orders and Commercial Club of this city and is one of the representative men of Cass county, having gained this position by merit, and has the confidence of all who know him, both socially and in a business way.
