Don't know if you're still interested. I have, in my records, that Martha Jane Boring was born 5 Nov 1843 in Moral, Shelby County, Indiana. She died 11 Apr 1863 in Iowa City, Wright County, Iowa. John and Martha were married on 5 Jun 1861 or 1862 in Troy, Wright County, Iowa. Their daughter was Mary Ellis Downing (18 Jun 1863 - 31 Mar 1939), who married Joseph Eugene Claude. Mary Ellis and Mr Claude both died in Wisconsin (they had 11 children as far as I can tell). Mr Claude may have had a second wife.

Martha Jane Boring was the daughter of John Boring VIII (1820-1885) and Mary Ann Henderson (1825-1850) who had 4 children (to my knowledge). After Mary Ann died, John married again and had 10 additional children. His second wife was Lucretia Arnold (1833-1925), born in Kentucky and died in Iowa. Hope this helps. God bless you!
