I cannot locate a marriage in Wright County. I also cannot locate a record of their child being born there either. Do you have the name of the child and what is the source for a Wright county birth?
This is what I located;
Bertha Alice Blackford married first Claude Ventioner (who was born in Worthigton, Nobles, Minnesota) on October 26, 1912 in Sioux City, Woodbury, Iowa. -- Official Marriage record;
A male child was born named Clifford H. ?? in Iowa in about 1913. Was he the child of Claude Ventioner? Did Claude and Bertha divorce and she met James Ross and was he the father?
A child was conceived in about November or December 1914.
A daughter, Dorothy Elizabeth Ross was born on August 30, 1915 in Fullerton, Dickey County, North Dakota to James M. Ross and Bertha.

Henrietta J Blackford, mother-in-law, 64In 1930, Bertha and James had more children [Albert Louis Ross, Leo Melvin Ross, Evelyn Adena Ross, David J Ross and Rex E Ross] and were still in West Fork, Monona, Iowa. By 1940, Bertha and James were divorced and living separately and another daughter, 8 year old Helena/Helma was living with Bertha.
The official divorce records will include the place and date of marriage for the couple. I suggest you obtain the divorce records for Bertha and James in either Woodbury or Monona County, Iowa from about 1932 to 1940 to locate the marriage information. Also, what do you know about Clifford?
One additional item from the Worthington Globe [Minnesota] from Thursday, May 12, 1910: "In the rush of going to press last week we neglected to mention the arrival of the stork at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Ventioner. It was a bouncing boy." The baby appears to be Paul William Ventioner who was born on April 30, 1910 in Nobles County, Minnesota to Claude and Anna (Nelson) Ventioner. Looks like that marriage didn't last either.
