Sarah Moon never married again. Danford and Sarah were married in Wisconsin. She died during the depression up in Wisconsin. but my grandfather Charles Moon transported her back to Belmond, Iowa to be buried next to her husband. Sarah Moon's maiden name was Moore. Gertrude Kinney was Danford Moon's only child from his first wife who was also Sarah. I saw her gravesite in Petersburgh, NY and she died in 1859. Gertrude was raised by her grandparents and then moved with them to Wisconsin. After the Civil War, Danford Moon also moved to Wisconsin.
