In Response To: Birth Record Look-up/Verification (Rosalie Adkins)

It looks like Samuel Anderson is actually Simon L. Anderson (Simon Lindstrom Anderson, born June 11, 1880, Denmark). Leta appears to have been born Leta Estergard and then later used her mother's married name. Her mother, Mary Benson, was married to Christian Estergard, John Mason and ? Green. Leta has a 1/2 sister, Lottie, who is enumerated as Lottie Green, born August 1882 in the 1900 Hamilton County, Iowa census (Webster City) with mother Mary Green, age 49, and Leta Green, age 11. Since Mary did not marry Christian Estergard until 1888, he is probably not the father of Lottie. Leta's obituary in Indiana says that her father was Olaf and Mary Green Estergard, but the applications all show her mother as Mary Benson.
