Dolph Fuller Passes Away

Word was received here Wednesday afternoon that Dolph Fuller had passed away on the train at Dows that noon while he was on his way back to the soldiers’ home at Marshalltown. He had been up here for a few days visiting his sons and many friends and was just returning to the home. He boarded the train at Belmond and the conductor and passengers thought he was asleep as he was in a sitting position and did not discover his death until it was found that he did not leave the train at Dows where all of the passengers change cars if they wish to go north or south.

Mr. Fuller was a citizen of this community ever since the pioneer days and has friends for miles around. We have not learned at this time when the funeral will be held or where the remains will be laid to rest, but presumably in the Amsterdam cemetery beside his wife who died here about 12 years ago. We hope to publish the obituary next week.
