Ben Ridder rites Saturday at Klemme

KLEMME - Funeral services for Ben Ridder, 65, will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Liberty Methodist Church here. The Rev. James Albertson will officiate. Burial will be in Ell Township Cemetery with Osman Funeral Home in charge. There will be a family prayer service at 11:30 a.m.

The son of August and Ida Beier Ridder, he was born June 11, 1896. He was married to Hattie Gates, Feb. 10, 1920, at Ingram, Wis. They farmed in Liberty Township, west of Klemme until retiring to town two years ago. Surviving are his wife, a son Dr. Elwyn Ridder, Clear Lake; a daughter, Mrs. Loren (Ruth) Cast, Klemme; three grandchildren, his mother, Mrs. Ida Ridder, Lake Mills; three brothers, Walter, Leland, Harold, Nora Springs, Will, Waterloo; and a sister, Mrs. Ella Ward, Klemme.
