Funeral Services for Clarion Man to be at Son's Home

CLARION--Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Eyler funeral home for F. C. Paine, who died Wednesday morning at the home of his son, Leslie, in Clarion, with whom he had resided for the past 12 years.

Frederick Clinton Paine was born March 19, 1860, in Monroe county, Minn., the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Paine. Helived for a time in Canada, and at 22 years of age he moved to a farm two and a half miles north of what is now Kanawha. At that time his was the only house between Kanawha and Britt. On July 11, 1883, he was married at Osage, to Harriet Adelaide Welden of Mitchell. To this union were born two sons, Charles C. Paine of Alexander, Minn., and Leslie Paine of Clarion and two daughters, Mrs. Norris Tripp of Algona and Mrs. Ray Latch of Clarion. He was preceded in death by his wife on May 20, 1924, and his daughter, Mrs. Latch, who died last year. He is survived by his two sons, one daughter, one adopted son, Cecil Paine of Clarion; 18 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The Rev. Bruce B. Mathews, pastor of the Church of Christ, will officiate and burial will be in the Britt cemetery.
