He attended Klemme Schools where he was an avid athlete, participating in basketball, track, and baseball. Robert graduated with the Class of 1957 at Klemme. Robert had farmed for a time on the family farms around Klemme. He enjoyed working the land and reaping the fruits of his labors. Bob was an ardent sports fan and loved to watch his Hawkeyes and baseball on TV. For many years he enjoyed the companionship and journeys of life with his special friend Jean Weber until her passing a few years ago.
