MRS. BONNSTETTER RITES HELD

Opal Louise Bonnstetter, 71, a native of Montezuma, died Monday, Jan. 9, at Mercy Hospital in Mason City. Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Corwith, with burial in the Corwith Cemetery.

The daughter of Leo and Lena Souter Gregson, she was born April 8, 1912, in Montezuma. She moved with her parents to Grinnell, and at age 13 moved to Corwith where she attended school. She was married to Ernest Bonnstetter on April 20, 1929, in Hancock County. Mrs. Bonnstetter was a housewife and also worked as a bookkeeper. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Corwith, the Women's Federated Club, and the Mission Circle.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest; three sons, James of Milford, Bill of Mason City and Ron of Iowa City; one daughter, JoAnn VandenBerge of Traverse City, Mich.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
