CORWITH — Betty Lou Nall was born April 2, 1931, in southern Iowa, the daughter of John and Fern (Bettis) Adams Sr. As a young girl in 1938 she moved with her family to Britt where she attended school and graduated from the Britt High School in 1948. After her schooling she worked at the drug store in Britt. On Jan. 13, 1951, Betty was united in marriage to Richard Nall at the Baptist Church in Britt. After their marriage they lived and farmed west of Corwith. They raised their family on the farm and remained living there until moving into Corwith in 2001. Betty thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and following them in their activities. She also enjoyed painting, sewing, reading and gardening. Betty was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Corwith, teaching Sunday school and holding various other offices.

Betty died Thursday, April 18, 2013, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. She was 82. She is survived by her husband, Richard Nall of Corwith; children, Julie and husband Jon Wittmeier of LuVerne; Judy and husband Stephen Johnson of Hastings, Minn.; Dwight Nall and wife Donna of Corwith; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; a sister, Cathern Meyer of Kanawha and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Joy and Jody Nall; a brother, John Adams, Jr. and a sister, Dorthy Gifford.

Visitation will be today, Sunday, April 21, 2013, from 4 until 6 p.m. at the Corwith Community Center in Corwith. Funeral services will be Monday, April 22, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Corwith Community Center with the Reverend Beatrice Kinzler officiating. Burial will be in the Corwith Cemetery. Oakcrest Funeral Services-Corwith.
