KLEMME — Grace Elaine Thiemann, 88, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at the Rehabilitation Center of Belmond. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday Jan. 5, at Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in Klemme. Reverend Donna Buckman will be officiating. Interment will be at the Ell Township Cemetery in Klemme. A visitation will be held at the Andrews Funeral Home in Klemme from 5 to 7 p.m. on Jan. 4, visitation will continue on one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Those wishing to express their sympathies in memorials may direct them to the family at Box 224 Belmond, IA 50421.

Grace Elaine Finch was born March 27, 1924, in Plymouth, to Frank Hyde and Enid (Davis) Hyde. Grace attended school in Mason City. In 1943, Grace married Cecil Blank this union was blessed with three children Dianne, Linda and Kenneth. In 1969, Grace married Paul Thiemann at the Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ. Grace and her husband Paul farmed for many years, where Grace was an integral partner in the farming operations assisting with the raising of the livestock and caring for the farmstead.

Grace was a lifelong homemaker, devoted wife, and loving mother and grandmother. Grace made marvelous baked goods for her family and friends. She made unique cakes which were homemade for family celebrations or her delicious baked treats for whoever was to stop by for a snack and for a cup of coffee. Grace’s creative side will be remembered during the holidays including her irreplaceable Christmas ornaments given as presents each year, made with her loving hands.

Her life and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of all who had the privilege of knowing Grace during her life journey. Her caring heart was filled with the warmth of her family. Grace had that special connection with each family member. She enjoyed being at family functions and spending precious time with her wonderful grandchildren and great- grand-children.

Those left to cherish Grace’s life and memories are her children; Dianne (Doug) McCabe of Garner; Linda (Shirley) Brown of Garner; Ken (Jan) Blank of Klemme; grandchildren Chris (Jayme) Brown; Jarred (Cecillia) Brown; Hope (David) Wheatcraft; Kris (Allen) Enabit; Stacey (Chris) Haviland; Holly (Jamin) Anderson; great-grandchildren Katrina, Cody, Shawna, Brandon, Gabriel, Alana, Alex, Autumn, Abby, Aimee, Lucas, Laney, Gabby. Along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Grace is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Dale Hyde and Blanchard Finch; Husbands Cecil Blank and Paul Thiemann.
