November 12, 1911 --- July 12, 1954

Leonard M. Swanson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Swanson, was born at Klemme, Iowa on November 12, 1911, He received his education in the Klemme Schools and spent his life in this community. On January 24, 1936, he was united in marriage to Irene Mae Lemke. To this union was born one daughter, Janice Marlene. Mr. Swanson followed the carpenter trade until the Swanson Hatchery was moved from the farm to Klemme, at which time he became manager and partner with his brother, Albert. Interment was in the Ell Township Cemetery, Klemme.
