Lucille Lillian Meyer, 91, of Britt passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Westview Care Center in Britt. Funeral services for Lucille Meyer will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 13, 2012, at the Ewing Funeral Home, 118 East Second Street, in Kanawha, with Pastor Steve Schulz officiating. Burial will be at Amsterdam Township Cemetery in Kanawha. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday.

Lucille, the daughter of the late Henry and Hattie (Sinning) Meyer was born June 23, 1920 at Lennox, South Dakota. The family moved to the Wesley area in March of 1923. Lucille received her education in Woden schools. In 1948, Lucille moved to Britt, where she has since resided. She was employed at Lewis Stores for 15 years and the Britt nursing home. She later was employed by Reuben Department Store and then Winnebago Industries, where she retired in 1985. Lucille loved crafts, crocheting, and knitting and enjoyed reading. She was a member of the Hancock County Hospital Auxiliary and Armstrong House Auxiliary.

Lucille is survived by her sister-in-law Cathern Meyer of Kanawha; her nephew, Randy L. Meyer and his wife, Carolynn, and their children: Ryan, Jason and Kaitlyn all of Deer Trail, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister Mildred in 1991; two brothers: Fred and his wife Jenny and Marvin Meyer; and great niece, Kira in 1996.
