CARROLLTON, TX — Funeral services for Guy Lester Prelip, 88, of Carrollton, are set for 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Eddie Kerchersid officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Prelip died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, in Plano, Texas. He was born on Jan. 31, 1924 in Kanawha, Iowa. Survivors include his wife, MayBelle Prelip of Carrollton; children, Vicki Smith of Forestburg, Gloria Hoselton of Brentwood, Tenn., and Frank Prelip of Arlington; siblings, Leo Prelip, Nelda Prelip and Frances Wilson; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation is set for 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Farmers Branch Church of Christ.
